Have you checked out this wildly wonky and weird music video from Matthew Childers’ Digital Introspect for Secret Recipe Music‘s new single “Pendulate”–in collaboration with Asteroids and Earthquakes & Zimbu–from his recently-released Mind Overload EP via Wormhole Music Group, because if not we can assure you that you’ve never seen anything quite like it!

If you’ve ever wondered what a visual representation of falling into the depths of a Secret Recipe track might look like, look no further than this uniquely and idiosyncratically psychedelic display!

The video begins with our lead character sitting in his living room and slowly fading out into a desertous psychedelic dream world as the track fades in and waking up with expanding and contracting pupils in a realm where eyeball-covered cacti, smoking iguanas, and bug-eyed birds are nothing out of the ordinary. Things begin to morph and shift as the video progresses, with the landscape becoming increasingly warped and unusually altered. By the midway point, we find a radiant interdimensional orb opening overhead, emitting energy to completely transform the landscape into something unrecognizable, as our hero is morphed into a creature that appears far more alien in nature than human, sprouting extra limbs and eyes while hovering over a giant bowl of cereal, of all things, in a glitched-out frenzy of stunning visual effects, all before coming back to his senses back in his living room in his underwear with the bowl of cereal, a bong, and a scattering of records, with one of those what-the-hell-just-happened looks on his face (hey, we’ve all been there!).
While we can try our best to describe this otherworldly visual display, this is one of those instances where words just can’t do proper justice to something so incredibly far-out and unique.
